Personal Trips (2 of 3)

I’ve been to Las Vegas more than ten times now – always for a convention, either as an attendee for a photographic industry gathering or as a photographer covering an event for a different industry. The last few times, I’ve tried to tack on a one- or two-day personal trip to visit one of the amazing national parks in that area.
First on the list, of course, was the Grand Canyon in 2016. No photo really does the place justice. The scale of it has a visceral impact that can’t be conveyed in a photograph.
The above was photographed with one of my stereo cameras, the Fuji W3. It’s at Lipan Point on the South Rim. And, 90% of the stuff I photographed there was on slide film with my other stereo cameras. Here’s another digital image, though, actually taken with my cell phone at Pima Point:
